Why did part of my section come through as custom code instead of native elements?

Not every piece of code has a native Webflow equivalent. Complex selectors, heavy JavaScript, inline styles, or framework markup get preserved as embedded custom code rather than rebuilt as native elements. It still works — it's just less editable in the Designer. Writing cleaner input (see Writing code that converts well) reduces how much ends up embedded.
